Orthoses and braces for joints

An orthosis is a mechanical aid, which is used to support, strengthen joints, limit pathological mobility or reduce the risk of getting injured during physical activities. Orthoses for joints have different degree of retention, they can be made of different materials, with or without fasteners. Braces also stabilise and retain, however, their task is to completely limit movements in case of injuries or in the post-operative period.
